A stranger in a crowded room

Jennifer Searles

It wasn’t by coincidence that I met you today

a stranger in a crowded room

amidst known faces

our path crossed; our eyes met

we spoke that day with words of comfort

blending and forming a short story of our lives

although our voices are different

we have been there and done that

seen dreams come true

we have the same Savior, Father and Friend

as I stood there looking into your eyes

I no longer saw a stranger in a crowded room

amidst known faces

I see a precious friend.
